Excellent! I love this book. The concepts are described in plain english. It has great examples for creating projects and two case studies.

I got this book when I went to a conference. All of Lynda's book are great. The book is easy to read and has good projects. Does teach some old school methods and is know outdated.

I have read this one about half way. It is an easy read and has great projects. I'm afraid the directions in the book are too confusing for beginners.

I love Rachel's style of writing. It is a great reference to have handy when you are working.

This is excellent book. I would buy any book written by Eric Meyer. I love his style of writing and this would be an excellent textbook for advanced students of web design, but not beginners who are not sure about css.

My Review

Posted : 17 years, 6 months ago on 15 September 2006 01:57 (A review of Robin Williams Design Workshop, 2nd Edition)

The book covers most all the subjects I think I should cover but I feel I can't consider this for a textbook.

Current textbook

Posted : 17 years, 6 months ago on 15 September 2006 01:52 (A review of Macromedia Fireworks 8: Training from the Source)

I like the training from the source line of books. The Fireworks 8 book comes with a CD and each chapter builds on the next to build a web site about a candy shop. The biggest problem I have with this book is that it focuses too much on the software and not enough on all the other things one must consider when developing a web site plus it uses old school methods of slicing and dicing. I have relented because I can't seem to find one book that covers all the topics I think that I need to cover in my course.

2nd Edition

Posted : 17 years, 7 months ago on 30 August 2006 09:01 (A review of Designing with Web Standards (Voices That Matter))

This is the Second Edition. Zeldman is on my list of every book he writes I must get. I love his style of writing.

possible textbook

Posted : 18 years, 1 month ago on 20 February 2006 09:52 (A review of Photoshop Classic Effects: The Essential Effects Every User Needs to Know)

This book will compliment a book about code with graphic techniques. I have it and it is good at show how to create cool effects. No project files
